Walton Woman Charged with Manslaughter Following Suspected Overdose Death

(Boone County, Ky.) – A Walton women has been charged with manslaughter following a suspected overdose death of a 29-year-old man.

Jennifer Moore, 38, was identified as the person who allegedly trafficked in heroin/fentanyl to the deceased on November 18. Investigators confirmed that the deceased accepted narcotics from Moore and that she brought her you child to his home in Burlington when making the delivery.

In addition, investigators say the deceased had not left his home once the delivery was made, and that no other person delivered anything to his home.

Moore was taken into custody on Tuesday after a patrol deputy observed her speeding on the interstate. She was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant.

During the traffic stop, Moore was allegedly found in possession of a small amount of suspected heroin/fentanyl. She was transported to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office where she allegedly confessed to trafficking narcotics to the deceased.

Moore is charged with Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of Minor, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives) as well Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Heroin) and Speeding 9 MPH Over Limit (Limited Access).

She is currently held at the Boone County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
