The Rising Sun HS Band recently performed at Rising Sun's Halloween Parade.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Ohio County Tourism and Rising Sun Main Street presented checks to the Rising Sun Shiner Pride Marching Band Director & Band Booster Coordinator in a ceremony held at the High School before the October 31, 2023 Halloween Parade.

Both entities stepped up to help fund the annual Halloween Parade in Rising Sun, coordinated by LeeAnn Wallick as a fundraiser for the marching band.

Present during the check ceremony was (L-R): Meagan White, Rising Sun Main Street Treasurer & Ohio County Tourism, Inc. board member; Alex Courter, Rising Sun Band Director; Jim McDaniel, Ohio County Tourism Board President; LeeAnn Wallick, Rising Sun Shiner Pride Marching Band Booster; Kendal Miller, Executive Director, Ohio County Tourism; and Menee Banschbach, Rising Sun Main Street Board Member.

The Rising Sun High School “Zombie” Marching Band led the 2023 Halloween Parade on October 31 throughout downtown Rising Sun.
