(Versailles, Ind.) - Folks are being invited out to Versailles State Park to take a swim in the lake, in the frosty chill of February.
Special Olympics Indiana is holding their Fifth Annual Polar Plunge to raise money for area special Olympians on Saturday, February 11. Eagle 99.3 is among the proud sponsors of the 2012 Polar Plunge at Versailles State Park.
This year, the Polar will include a huge heated festival tent where the plungers can warm up afterwards. The event will also feature the Polar Climb 5K Run/Walk through the state park.
Teams and individual participants are being urged to sign up now by visiting www.SOIndiana.org.
Last year, over 300 people participated in the Versailles plunge, raising over $40,000 in the process.
