(Versailles, Ind.) - South Ripley Community School Corporation is proud to announce that St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Reds Community Fund have selected South Ripley High School as the site of their next baseball field renovation project, marking the first time this impactful initiative will take place in southeastern Indiana.

The partnership will focus on transforming the South Ripley High School baseball facility into a revitalized community asset, with the goal of completing the renovation by the spring of 2026. This project represents a significant investment in youth athletics, health, and community engagement.

“We are honored to be chosen for this exciting opportunity,” said Rob Moorhead, Superintendent of South Ripley Community School Corporation. “This project will be a game-changer for our student-athletes and the broader community. We are incredibly grateful to St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Reds Community Fund for bringing their vision and generosity to southeast Indiana.”

This collaboration follows three successful field renovation projects led by St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Reds Community Fund in Northern Kentucky, including the Bellevue Vets complex in Bellevue, Lemker Field at St. Elizabeth Ball Park in Ludlow, and Augusta Distillery Field at St. Elizabeth Ball Park in Augusta.

Each of these projects has created state-of-the-art baseball facilities that serve not only high school athletes, but also youth leagues and community events. South Ripley High School will now join this tradition of excellence, community support, and commitment to growing the game of baseball. The field will be constructed to accommodate softball play as well.

“We are excited to bring this initiative to a new region and work with the South Ripley community to create a high-quality space for students and families to enjoy,” said Cary Graham from St. Elizabeth. “This partnership is about more than a field — it’s about pride, opportunity, and lasting impact.”

“The South Ripley community is a perfect choice for our next regional field project,” said Reds Community Fund executive director, Charley Frank. “There’s tremendous passion for baseball and softball, and outstanding leadership from the entire school district. We’re thrilled to be making a major investment in Southeast Indiana.”

Planning for the project will begin this summer, with community input and stakeholder collaboration playing a key role throughout the process. South Ripley Schools and project partners are committed to delivering a facility that reflects the spirit and values of the community.
