(Rabbit Hash, Ky.) – An iconic northern Kentucky landmark has risen from the ashes. The Rabbit Hash Historical Society announced Tuesday that the newly rebuilt Rabbit Hash General Store will open its doors for a grand re-opening on Saturday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. The 185-year-old general store was destroyed in a fire on February 13, 2016. Only a few things were salvaged from the structure, including the iconic sign that stood above the front porch. Since then, many fundraisers and donations have helped pay for the restoration of the building that just so happens to be on the National Register of Historic Places. Now, more than a year after the devastating fire, the Rabbit Hash General Store restoration project is nearly complete. The grand re-opening will be kicked off with a special ribbon cutting ceremony on April 1 at 9:30 a.m. The event will feature live music from noon until 8:00 p.m., including performances by Mike Hicks, The StarDevils, The Modified and Cadillac & Catfish. Rabbit Hash will be setting up remote parking areas with a shuttle service to and from town, due to parking restraints. Those planning to attend are asked to carpool, if possible. Coolers will not be permitted. RELATED STORIES: Rabbit Hash General Store Could Reopen This Spring Rabbit Hash General Store On The Comeback Trail Iconic Rabbit Hash General Store Destroyed By Fire
