Perfect North Slopes held its annual Spring Carnival on March 8. The ski area announced Wednesday it is closing for the season. Photo by A.J. Waltz. (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – After more than 100 snow and fun-filled days, Perfect North Slopes is calling it a season. The ski area announced Wednesday that it is closed with the arrival of spring, which has taken its toll on the facility’s snow. Operations at Perfect North had been suspended since Friday due to flooding concerns at the base of the hill. There had been hopes of being able to reopen this coming weekend, if weather cooperated. Perfect North Slopes’ 35th season was among the longest it ever had. The 103 day run began with the facility’s earliest ever opening on November 21 thanks to a fall snowstorm. Events are planned at Perfect North Slopes during the warmer months. The popular Mud-Stache combination obstacle course/5K returns on May 30 and September 12.
