(Ripley County, Ind.) — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that chip seal operations will begin as early as this Thursday.
Maintenance crews will be working from the north junction of U.S. 50 to C.R. 300 N., south of Osgood, closing this three-mile stretch for one day from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Local residents will have access with a pilot vehicle. Thru traffic should use S.R. 350 to S.R. 129 as an alternate route.
Either later in the week or early next week, crews will move to S.R. 101 between U.S. 50 and I-74 at Penntown. Lane closures will be maintained will flagging during the daytime hours.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, watch for stopped traffic and drive distraction-free through work zones. While all work is weather dependent, schedules are subject to change.
