Navy Bean Festival Runs Friday & Saturday in Rising Sun

The event will feature live music, arts & crafts, rides, a parade and of course navy beans.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – Rising Sun’s annual Navy Bean Fall Festival returns this Friday and Saturday.

All of the fun gets started on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Live music, arts & crafts, and amusement rides are all part of the event, with navy beans and cornbread available both days while supplies last.

Friday’s live bands include the Rising Sun Church of Christ Worship Team from 5:15-6:45, followed by Kristine Kabbes & the Skallywags from 7:00-10:00.

Special guest impersonators Barney Fife and Juanita Beasley are scheduled to appear on both Friday and Saturday.

The Navy Bean Fall Festival Parade will kick-off Saturday’s festivities at 10:30 a.m. Amusement rides open at 11:00 a.m. Costume characters, arts & crafts, face painting, a balloon artist and magician, pony rides, caricature arts, a foam party, and an open-air photo booth are all part of the fun scheduled throughout the day.

Live music continues on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 with Jimmy Davis. Still Kick’N performs from 6:00-8:00, followed by headliner Naked Karate Girls from 8:00-10:30. Weather permitting, a fireworks celebration closes out the 2023 Navy Bean Fall Festival event. 

 According to the City of Rising Sun, all performance and entertainment times are approximate and subject to change.
