Enhanced Telecommunications Brings WiFi To Local Parks

By Mike Perleberg (Sunman, Ind.) - Enhanced Telecommunications Corporation is bringing wifi to some southeast Indiana town parks. ETC says it has partnered with Liberty Park in Batesville, Sunman Community Park, and Greensburg Park to provide wireless high-speed internet to the public. The free hotspots will be accessible at each park 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. daily through Labor Day. The service began on Memorial Day. The wifi internet service will allow the parks to become outdoor offices or help visitors share their photos on social media. “Our local parks provide the perfect venue for ETC to bring innovative technologies to the community,” stated Anita Fledderman, ETC Marketing Manager. “By establishing hotspots throughout our communities, we are advancing toward the future of communication and connectivity, which is not only attractive to local residents, but also business travelers and individuals relocating to this area from other areas.” Enhanced Telecommunications Corporation has been deploying telecommunications products and services for more than 80 years. ETC employs over 80 local individuals and was named the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Business of the Year in May.
