Child Molesting Plea Brings Four Years Behind Bars

(Brookville, Ind.) - A four year prison sentence has been ordered for a man who pleaded guilty to child molestation charges. Terry W. Summey, 52, of Brookville, was sentenced in Franklin County Circuit Court on July 16, the Brookville American-Democrat reports. Judge J. Steven Cox decided to give Summey a seven year sentence with three years suspended to probation. He is also prohibited from having any contact with the victim. Summey had earlier pleaded guilty to Class C felony Child Molestation, a less serious offense than the charge of Class A felony Child Molesting he originally faced. He could have received up to eight years in prison for the Class C conviction. Summey molested a 14-year-old girl in June of 2012, according to the newspaper.
