Aurora Cop Unwinds By Lip-Syncing Pop Song

By Mike Perleberg (Aurora, Ind.) – We’ve all sang along with our favorite songs while riding in the car, but we’re not usually on camera. Aurora Police Sgt. Shane Slack decided to flip on his camera as he lip-synced to Meghan Trainor’s “Your Lips Are Movin.” The YouTube video was inspired by a viral video from the Dover (Delaware) Police Department in which Officer Jeff Davis was caught singing along with Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”. The video even earned a reaction from Swift. Slack’s wife, Lisa, says the behind-the-wheel performance happened in the midst of a “stressful 12 hour shift.” “I'd be lying if I said it were the first time he got down while on duty to calm down,” she tells Eagle 99.3. In posting the video to his own Facebook, Sgt. Slack laid down a challenge: for every other police department in Dearborn County to post one of their own men in uniform singing a pop song while on patrol. Slack's video is now on YouTube, too.
