AUDIO: SD Grad Kristin Weber Hits The National Stage With Kacey Musgraves

(Aurora, Ind.) – A girl from a small town in southeast Indiana is getting national recognition after playing the fiddle on some of television’s biggest talk shows. Kristin Weber, an Aurora native, is currently on Kacey Musgraves’ Christmas tour as a fiddle player. Weber had previously played the fiddle solos during Musgraves and Lee Ann Womack’s tribute to Alan Jackson at the CMT Awards in Nashville in 2014. “I wouldn’t say I’m a regular member, I’ve just joined her for this specific Christmas tour,” said Weber. “So I played with her a couple years ago, and she remembered me and decided to call me up for this Christmas tour because she had some fiddle players singing and playing on her record.” HEAR EAGLE 99.3’S BUBBA BO INTERVIEW KRISTIN WEBER IN THE AUDIO PLAYER BELOW. She then appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. Weber is also scheduled to perform with Musgraves on The Talk this Monday, December 5 and Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, December 7. “I didn’t see this coming,” said Weber. “You never know who’s going to call and what they’re going to want.” ABC Breaking News | Latest News Videos Weber, a 2004 South Dearborn High School graduate, landed in Nashville after four years at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Since her arrival in Nashville, Weber has kept her options open rather than latching on to one particular artists. “I’m pretty happy with the fluid situation,” said Weber. “I’ve gotten to do a lot of cool things this year, not being just dedicated to one artist.” Some of those cool things include playing at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, touring Europe with rock band “Augustana,” and being featured on Margo Price’s album ‘Midwest Farmer’s Daughter’, which ranked 21st on Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Albums of 2016. Weber has also had the pleasure of gracing the stage at the world famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
