Josh Ringer Named Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year

Another big accolade for Josh!

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Josh Ringer has earned another statewide award.

After being named Mr. Football in mid-December, Ringer added another prestigious award to his name as Indiana Football’s Gatorade Player of the Year.

The winner is chosen based on athletic excellence, academic achievement, and exemplary character.

On the field, Ringer ran for a school-record 2,880 yards and 55 touchdowns, averaging 10.3 yards per carry. He also caught 13 passes for 278 yards and five touchdowns.

The Miami (Oh.) signee helped East Central to a perfect 15-0 record and second-consecutive Class 4A State Championship.

In the classroom, Ringer maintains a 3.74 GPA.

Ringer has great character too, on and off the field.  He has volunteered locally as a youth football coach and donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his school’s National Honor Society.
