(Batesville, Ind.) - In an effort to increase access to health care in our area, Margaret Mary Health recently added three new physicians to its medical staff. Pediatricians Richard Turner, MD and Kristina Wang, MD are now accepting new patients in their office located at the hospital’s main campus, while Otolaryngologist Robert Schrimpf, MD is taking new ear, nose and throat (ENT) patients at his office located in Margaret Mary’s Outpatient and Cancer Center. Treating children from birth to young adulthood, Drs. Turner and Wang diagnose and treat a variety of conditions ranging from ear infections and asthma to ADHD and behavior problems. They also frequently provide preventative care like well checks and sports physicals. New moms may also see our new pediatricians following delivery as they are part of a physician team that provides newborn care in our maternity unit. Dr. Turner received his medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where he also completed his residency. Dr. Wang received her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine and completed her residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Oakland. As an ENT physician, Dr. Schrimpf provides medical and surgical care to both children and adults. Board-certified in otolaryngology, he has been treating patients in the tri-state area for nearly 35 years for a variety of conditions, including hearing impairment, ear infections, balance disorders, sinus infections, nasal cavity problems, tonsillitis, voice disorders and swallowing problems. Dr. Schrimpf received his medical degree from the Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed his residency at Tufts University in Boston. “By bringing more medical specialists to our community, we hope to provide local families with improved access to the care they need so they don’t have to drive far to find it,” said Julie Keene, Margaret Mary’s vice president of physician services. “We are excited to welcome these physicians to our medical staff and think they will be great resources for our community.” For an appointment with Dr. Turner or Dr. Wang, call 812.933.5018.
