(Boone County, Ky.) – Kentucky schools have received their report cards for the 2018-19 school year.
The Kentucky Department of Education released the report cards on Tuesday, which includes a new five-star rating system.
Walton-Verona High School was among six schools in the region to receive a top rating.
The new accountability system measures state test scores, graduation rates, student growth, quality of school climate and safety and achievement gaps.
In Boone County, Ryle High School had the top rating with four stars, while Conner and Cooper high schools each got three stars.
At the middle school level, Ballyshannon, Camp Ernst, Conner, Gray and Ockerman all received three stars. Jones Middle School earned just one star.
Among elementary schools, Erpenbeck and North Point were tops with four stars.
Burlington, Florence, Goodridge, Kelly, Longbranch, Mann, New Haven, Ockerman and Thornwilde all received three-star ratings, while Stephens and Yealey schools earned two stars.
