DCH Doctors Group Changes Name

Press release from Dearborn County Hospital

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn County Hospital’s team of hospital owned physician practices has a new name, DCH Physician Partners.  Formerly known as Health Services Corporation of Southeastern Indiana, DCH Physician Partners is comprised of 33 primary care and specialist practices.

“The former name did not accurately reflect the ‘partnership’ that exists between the physicians and their patients, the hospital and the community,” explained Tom Fuller, DCH Vice President of Physician Network and Clinical Services.  “Exceptional healthcare exists in a setting where all of these entities, including the patient, work together as a team to maintain wellness and minimize the potential for acute and chronic illnesses.”

Individual or group practices belonging to DCH Physician Partners operate independently of the hospital and each other.  They maintain their own name, staff, location and identity.

“Hospital ownership does not affect the clinical aspect of the physician’s practice.  Rather it enhances the practice by making the resources of the hospital available to the office,” continued Mr. Fuller.

“Currently, DCH Physician Partners has 33 physicians, one certified nurse midwife and one nurse practitioner representing 13 specialties.  In the coming months, we anticipate that number increasing as we bring more primary care physicians and specialists to the region.”
