Eight Earn Weekly Honors from ORVC

(Milan, Ind.) - Eight student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC Report for April 22-27 was released on Tuesday.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Brady Borgman and Southwestern’s Jamison Lewis are the ORVC Baseball Players of the Week.

Borgman did a little bit of everything over a four-game stretch, collecting seven RBI, six hits, six runs, two doubles, two stolen bases, and two home runs. He also tossed seven scoreless innings, striking out six.  

For Lewis, he went 2-0 on the mound, striking out 23 over 14 innings. The two wins helped propel Lewis to become Southwestern’s all-time wins leader.

Ashley Fulton is the ORVC Softball Player of the Year. The Southwestern star collected 13 runs, 11 hits, five RBI, five stolen bases, four doubles, four triples and a home run in five games. Fulton also went 4-1 in the pitching circle, striking out 46 over 32 innings pitched.

The ORVC Boys Golfers of the Week are Jackson Voss (Milan) and Nate Elliott (Rising Sun). Voss earned weekly honors with a 37 at North Branch, while Elliott carded a 39 at Belterra and a 39 at Rising Star.

Ben Riehle (Milan), Ayden Potts (Milan) and Megan Hayes (Rising Sun) are the Track and Field Performers of the Week.
