After days of searching, crews located a woman's body at a home that burnt down in the Triple Crown neighborhood on Tuesday.
(Union, Ky.) – A body has been found days after a devastating fire in Union.
A large fire destroyed a $500,000 home in the Triple Crown neighborhood on Tuesday. Following the devastation, crews were unable to account for the woman who owned the home.
The way the house collapsed caused crews to take a more cautious approach when searching for any potential victims. A backhoe, drones and K-9 units were used.
After days of searching through debris, a woman’s body was found in the basement of the home on Friday.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
Additionally, a cause of the fire has not be determined.
