NKY Man Arrested After Reports Of Gunfire

The incident occurred early Friday morning.

(Erlanger, Ky.) – Some Erlanger residents were awakened by gunshots early Friday morning.

Kenton County Dispatch received numerous calls about the gunshots that came from a Debbie Lane home around 12:27 a.m. One of the callers was reportedly the person who fired the shots.

Erlanger Police responded to the scene and took Nicholas Ankenman into custody without further incident.

Ankenman, 24, told police that he had taken acid and felt like he was going to die from it. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood for treatment before being taken to the Kenton County Detention Center.

Ankenman is charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
