That is when the new Dollar General store will open its doors to the public. The store opens at 8:00 a.m. Goodlettsville, Tennessee-based Dollar General is planning giveaways to mark the occasion, including $10 gift cards to the first 50 shoppers. Free Dollar General tote bags will be handed to the first 200 customers. “Dollar General is committed to delivering a pleasant shopping experience that includes a convenient location, a wide assortment of merchandise and great prices on quality products,” Dan Nieser, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development, said in a release. “We hope our Milan customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new location. The Milan location will also create up to 10 new jobs in the small town. Dollar General has been expanding rapidly across the U.S. recently. In 2014, the chain opened 700 new stores and remodeled or relocated 915 stores. The company plans to open approximately 730 new stores while relocating or remodeling 875 more in 2015.
