Kentucky Man Extradited To Switzerland Co. On Child Solicitation Charges

The investigation stemmed from the man's social media use.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) - A Kentucky man has been extradited to Switzerland County on child solicitation charges. 

Jeffery T. Smith, Jr., 30, of Owenton, was extradited on November 19 after being arrested on a warrant issued by the Switzerland Circuit Court. 

According to the Switzerland County Sheriff's Office, the warrant was issued after the conclusion of an investigation into Smith's online social media use. 

Smith is charged with Child Solicitation (Level 5 Felony) and Dissemination of Matter Harmful to a Minor (Level 6 Felony). 

He is currently held in Switzerland County Jail on $5,000 cash bond.
