The state's jobless rate has remained unchanged over the past four months.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – For a fourth month in a row, Indiana’s unemployment rate remains unchanged.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state’s jobless rate stands at 3.2 percent for December and remains lower than the national rate of 3.5 percent.
Locally, unemployment rates ranged from 2.9 percent in Ripley County to 3.2 percent in Dearborn and Ohio counties.
Indiana’s labor force had a net increase of 1,948 last month. This was a result of a decrease of three unemployed residents and an increase of 1,951 employed residents.
In total, the state’s labor force stands at 3.38 million and Indiana’s 64.4 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 63.2 percent.
