Air Care Called After Man Crashes Vehicle Into Abandoned Home

The accident happened Thursday night on Aberdeen Road in Ohio County.

(Ohio County, Ind.) - A man was injured after crashing into an abandoned house Thursday night in Ohio County. 

Sheriff Glen Potts tells Eagle Country 99.3 that Michael D. Smith, 35, was traveling on Aberdeen Road around 9:54 p.m. when his vehicle crashed into a utility pole with a transformer, then proceeded to crash into an abandoned home. 

Smith suffered a large laceration to his head, among other injuries. 

He was airlifted to UC Medical Center for treatment. 

Sheriff Potts says the investigation is ongoing.
