(Austin, TX)  --  The world-famous South-By-Southwest festival in Austin is canceled this year because of the coronavirus.

A Texas judge told reporters Friday the annual media festival had to be called off due to concerns of the virus spreading.

Several companies, including WarnerMedia, Twitter, Apple, and Netflix had already canceled their exhibitions at the festival.

An online petition also called for the event to be held off.
