Celebrate 200 years of history on September 22.
Did you know that Moores Hill once was the home to one of six co-educational colleges in the country, that it was once a thriving town with a grist mill, a Studebaker dealership, hotels and grocery stores? Our little town is rich with history and we are connecting the past, present and future celebrating 200 years since our quaint little town was pioneered in 1818.
Moores Hill's Bicentennial Celebration will take place September 22. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. The celebration will run until 4:00 p.m.
Activities include: live entertainment from My Brothers Keeper, demonstrations from Southeastern Indiana Woodturners, Southeastern Farm Club, a broom maker, soap maker, blacksmith, living history about the Civil War, games for the kids, scavenger hunt, food vendors and more.
Carnegie Hall will also be open for tours and displaying art from the Moores Hill Elementary School.
Please help us celebrate our town by enjoying a fun day of history for all.
