Highpoint Health Hospice Grief Support Group
Multiple dates from Monday, April 16th to Monday, June 11th
The support group is recommended for persons who are at least three months past the death of a loved one.
An eight-session Grief Care Support Group will be offered this spring by Highpoint Health Home Health & Hospice. It will meet in the Ripley/Switzerland Rooms of the hospital from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on eight Mondays from April 16 through May 21, plus June 4 and 11.
Offered free of charge, the program will cover numerous grief-related topics. The facilitator of the group is Patti Kiddle, Highpoint Health’s new Hospice Bereavement Coordinator. Ms. Kiddle has 18 years’ experience as a Bereavement Coordinator, specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder, complex grief and mental health concerns.
Each week will feature a different topic, including:
- Understanding the grief experience
- Handling the difficult emotions of grief
- Caring for the whole self
- Remembering the person who died
- Making needed adjustments
- Managing the stress of change
- Preparing for special occasions
- Finding meaning after loss
Limited to 12 participants, the support group is recommended for persons who are at least three months past the death of a loved one. The registration deadline is Friday, April 13. Three information sessions will be held in Batesville, Versailles, and Lawrenceburg in July and August.

The Trojan Trot 5K was held Saturday in St. Leon.
