Army Pfc. Brett Bondurant was critically injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion while serving in Afghanistan on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. The 2009 Lawrenceburg High School graduate and Greendale native is expected to survive. Bondurant's family has asked that friends, neighbors, supporters, and businesses show their support for Brett by displaying a yellow ribbon until he can return home.
Friends and family have set up the “Brett Bondurant Recovery Fund” at Community Spirit Credit Union, 160 Industrial Drive, Lawrenceburg. You can stop by the bank during regular hours to make a donation.
Operation Thank You, a local group which sends care packages to troops overseas, is also gathering “get well” and “thinking of you” cards for Bondurant.
