June M. Veldhaus - Milan, IN

VeldhausJune M. Veldhaus of Milan, passed away Sunday November 1, 2009 at Margaret Mary Hospital, Batesville, In. She was 80 years of age.

She was born June 22, 1929,  in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Florence (Guelker) Swisshelm.  She married Gilbert A. Veldhaus April 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death December 3, 1996.

She was retired from Hillenbrand Industries, a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Tony (Teresa) Veldhaus of Milan and a daughter, Debbi (Gary) Walker of Ft. Walton Beech, Florida. 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren and a sister, Norma Strickland of Maderia, Ohio.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM. Thursday November 5, 2009, at the St. Pius Catholic Church, north of  Milan with Father Frank Eckstein officiating.  Burial will be at St. Pius Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 3,  from 6-8 PM at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan.

Rosary Services will be at 5:45 PM and VFW Ladies Auxillary services will be at 7:45.

Memorials may be made to the Activity Fund at St. Andrews Heath Campus or St Pius Catholic Church.

Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
