(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Charity road blocks are now a no-no in Dearborn County.
County Attorney Jack Gay researched the issue over the past few months and eventually wrote the ordinance signed by county commissioners Tuesday.
The road blocks have become common in the Bright area and the commissioners are worried about safety issues. The county could be held liable if there were to be an accident.
Organizations or individuals would be fined $100 on a first offense with higher fines possible if they continue to violate the ordinance.
