(West Harrison, Ind.) - Sunman-Dearborn Schools saw enrollment drop in 2009, and with it so did their state funding.
Now, the district is trying to attract new students in hopes of avoiding the same consequence in future years.
Sunman-Dearborn hired Batesville-based video production company The Herbert Brothers to create a promotional video highlighting areas where the district excels.
The video will be featured on Sunman-Dearborn’s website and distributed on DVD around the area.
Sunman-Dearborn had 4194 students enrolled in 2010 according to data from the Indiana Department of Education. That is 90 fewer students than 2009.
The district’s enrollment has declined each year since 2007 when there were 4,422 students.
