New monthly revenue figures have been released by the Indiana Gaming Commission showing Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg made the most of the three local casinos in October at $36.3 million, but that’s still down about 3.3 percent from October 2009.
Grand Victoria Casino and Resort in Rising Sun saw revenues slide 2.6 percent from the same month a year ago to $8.6 million.
Belterra Casino in Switzerland County raked in $12.3 million, down 3.7 percent.
Fewer visitors to the riverboats may have been largely to blame for the revenue declines. Hollywood welcomed 320,745 visitors during the month, off about 5.6 percent from last year. More than three million people have visited the Lawrenceburg riverboat so far in 2010.
Grand Vic saw 115,553 people step aboard, down five percent. Belterra attendance was off 2.6 percent to 147,090.
At Indiana’s 13 casinos statewide combined revenues were actually up 1.1 percent to $237 million in October. Attendance totaled 2.3 million for the month – an increase of about 2.4 percent.
