(Whitewater Township, Oh.) – A Cleves teen was trapped in his mangled car following a crash Tuesday night in Whitewater Township.

Police say Tyler Middleton was likely speeding as he drove on the 9100 block of Harrison Avenue.  His car went off the road and struck a utility pole at around 9:00 p.m. causing the vehicle to overturn.

Middleton, 17, was trapped in the upside down vehicle until firefighters were able to free him after almost 30 minutes.

The teen was rushed by Aircare to University Hospital in Cincinnati with serious injuries.
