Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department detectives say they are still looking into a shooting in Dillsboro.
Det. Garland Bridges said it remains unclear whether a 40-year-old man suffered a self-inflicted wound to the head or was shot by somebody else.
Evidence technicians with the Indiana State Police Crime Lab are currently analyzing evidence. Bridges said it may be weeks or months before the lab returns information.
The identity of the shooting victim has not been released.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - A shooting occurred in Dillsboro Sunday morning.
Dearborn County deputies responded to a home on the 9600 block of Jewett Road at around 4:30.
A 40-year-old man was aircared to University Hospital in Cincinnati with a gunshot wound to the head. The unidentified victim was last listed in stable condition.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department and Dearborn-Ohio County Special Crimes Unit are still investigating. They have not said if the gunshot was self inflicted or caused by somebody else.
