(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The City of Harrison’s Fire and EMS department will cover part of Dearborn County for a while longer.

The county has inked a new three-year contract with Harrison to provide fire service to the northeast part of the county.

Much of West Harrison is without a dedicated fire department with the next nearest being in St. Leon, New Trenton, or Bright.

Dearborn County can opt out of the contract each year but must give 30 days notice.
