(Cedar Grove, Ind.) - A Franklin County community came together to help a family in need.

Kyle Kerr, 13, was killed in an accident on his family’s farm on Kerr Road outside Cedar Grove on Oct. 23. He had climbed into the back of a semi trailer filled with grain and was pulled under.

Last week, neighboring farmers brought their own tractors and combines to help Kyle’s parents Gary and Rhonda finish their fall harvest as they deal with their son’s death the Franklin County Observer reports.

The volunteers - organized by Dave Kaiser - wrapped up the harvest of the 120 acre farm this weekend.
