(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A tornado has been confirmed in Dearborn County from last Tuesday’s brief but intense storms.
The National Weather Service has investigated and determined it was a weak EF0 tornado with winds up to 85 MPH that touched down near State Road 1 at Georgetown Road in Dearborn County.
The funnel was spotted by a Greendale Police officer who reported the touchdown lasted less than five seconds.
No property damage was done as the twister touched down in an open field.
Eight weak tornados in all were confirmed in Indiana on Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
