Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies have identified the victim in Monday’s motorcycle crash on Chatham Road.

Rick Reatherford, 51, of Aurora was leaving a friend’s house when he lost control of the motorcycle as he pulled out from the driveway onto Chatham Road.

Reatherford, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a serious head injury. He was aircared to University Hospital in Cincinnati where his current condition is not know.

Crash investigators are not yet sure if loose gravel at the end of the driveway or a mechanical issue with the motorcycle led to the accident.
