The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office has identified the people involved in a car accident in Sunman Wednesday afternoon.
Dakota Jackson, 14, of Sunman, was getting off a school bus on North Meridian Street/SR 101 in Sunman around 3:30 when he was struck with a “glancing blow” from a vehicle driven by Howard H. Rosemeyer, 67, of Batesville, according to sheriff’s Cpl. Rob Bradley.
Jackson was flown to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he was treated and released.
Rosemeyer was cited for passing while school bus unloading.
The accident remains under investigation by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
Other agencies at the scene included Sunman Fire, Sunman Rescue 30, Ripley County Medic, and University Air Care.

(Sunman, Ind.) - Aircare was called to Sunman Wednesday afternoon after a boy was hit by a car.
Around 3:30, the 12-year-old was reportedly getting off the school bus on State Road 101 near Sunman Elementary School when a car went around the bus and hit him.
There is no word from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office on that child’s name or how serious his injuries were.
More information could be released Thursday.
