(Aurora, Ind.) - The cause of a fire that led to a number of wildfires in Aurora on Sunday is still under investigation.

Aurora Fire Department spokesperson Kevin Turner says investigators are not yet sure what started the fire at a home at 4924 East Laughery Creek Road.

That blaze sparked wildfires in the surrounding area. In all, about 100 acres were torched.

Aurora Firefighters were still monitoring some of those smoldering areas on Monday making sure they did not flare up.
