(Aurora, Ind.) - September won’t be one to remember for local riverboat casinos although they continue to make millions.

Both revenues and attendance were down at Hollywood, Grand Victoria, and Belterra casinos last month according to the Indiana Gaming Commission’s monthly casino revenue report.
Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg had $34.6 million in revenue, off 3.6 percent from the same month in 2009. The region’s most popular riverboat witnessed a 6.2 percent attendance decline with 309,965 visitors last month.
Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Switzerland County had $11 million which is down 15.4 percent from last year. Attendance dropped 9.1 percent with 137,477 people coming to the riverboat.
Grand Victoria Casino and Resort had $8.4 million in revenue during September which was down 2.9 percent. The Rising Sun riverboat saw a less-steep decline in visitors with 3.2 percent less at 116,603 last month.
Statewide at 13 casinos, 2.18 million people visited during the month of September, good for an increase of 1.1 percent over last year. Revenues at all Indiana casinos combined increase 0.7 percent totaling $226.4 million in September.
