(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A plea date for the so-called Blue-Eyed Rapist has been pushed back once again.
David Hopper is accused in a 2004 attack on a female employee at the Aurora Payless Shoe Store.
A plea date had been set for Oct. 18 in Dearborn Circuit Court, but Hopper’s defense has another trial scheduled that day. The judge has rescheduled the plea hearing date for Nov. 4.
Hopper has been scheduled to go to trial this week, but decided to enter a plea last month. Details of an agreement between Hopper and prosecutors have not been disclosed.
The 46-year-old former Burlington resident faces up to 118 years in prison for felony charges of Criminal Deviate Conduct, Attempt to Commit Rape, Robbery, Criminal Confinement with a Deadly Weapon, and Sexual Battery.
He has already been convicted of attacks in Ohio and Kentucky.
