(Verona, Ky.) - A Verona woman may be in trouble after she shot her son during a family argument.

Boone County Sheriff’s investigators say Tyler Wilson, 19, was arguing with his stepfather in their home on Vest Lane around 5:30 Sunday evening.

That’s when Wilson’s mother, Lori Huffman, fired two shots. One of the bullets accidentally hit Wilson in the leg according to the sheriff's office.

Wilson was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Huffman, 40, has not yet been charged.
