(Dillsboro, Ind.) – A Moores Hill woman is in trouble for allegedly driving drunk with her toddler in the vehicle.

Melissa Stallard is charged with OWI and Neglect of a Dependent.

Stallard, 27, was stopped on White Plains Road in Manchester Township by a Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputy on Monday, Sept. 20. The deputy had seen some type of burning material thrown from Stallard’s car according to a court affidavit.

Stallard allegedly told the deputy she had drank three or four beers. A breath test done on-site revealed her BAC to be .126, well over the legal limit of .08.

The deputy also noticed Stallard’s three-year-old son as a passenger in the vehicle.

Stallard is now charged with Operating While Intoxicated with a Person Less than 18 Years of Age, OWI, and Neglect of a Dependent.
