(Indianapolis, Ind.) - An Indianapolis man is being sued by Attorney General Greg Zoeller for allegedly placing robo-calls to Hoosiers on the Do Not Call list.
Zoeller filed the suit late last week in Marion County Civil Superior Court against Otis Thomas.
The attorney general's office alleges Thomas has used an autodialing service to place calls to consumers and played them prerecorded robo-call sales messages without a live operator getting permission first.
That permission is needed for such a call to be legal.
Twelve of the people who have received the robo-calls are on the Do Not Call registry.
