(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard will hold a press conference Friday at noon at the Dearborn County Courthouse to make an announcement regarding the death of a three-year-old boy.
On Tuesday afternoon, Eagle 99.3 broke the story when little Jack Carpenter was struck by a pickup truck on the 2800 block of North Dearborn Road. The driver of the truck drove away from the scene without stopping.
The suspected driver contacted police Wednesday morning, about 13 hours after the incident.
Dearborn County Sheriff's Office detectives have been investigating the deadly accident and have shared their findings with the prosecutor's office.
It could be announced today whether the driver will face charges.
