(Whitewater Township, Oh.) - An Aurora man wiill spend eight years in prison for causing a deadly motorcycle crash.

Bobby Luke, 28, was sentenced this morning in Hamilton County court. He had previously pleaded guilty in August to two counts of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide.

Luke was drunk and riding a motorcycle on Ohio Route 128 in Whitewater Township last Nov. 22 when witnesses said he was popping wheelies and driving recklessly.

Luke attempted to pass a row of cars when a vehicle driven by Lynda Colegate began turning left into Colegate’s driveway. The motorcycle collided with the driver’s side of the car, killing Colegate.

Police determined after the crash that Luke’s BAC was .104, above Ohio’s legal limit of .08.

At the time of the crash, Luke was using a Kentucky driver’s license because his Indiana license had been suspended.
