(Burlington, Ky.) - There’s a tragic twist to an already terrible motorcycle crash in Boone County.

About 12:45 Saturday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies responded to a the accident scene at the intersection of Rogers Lane and Holly Hill Drive in Burlington.
Gregory Landrum, 25, of Burlington, was riding his motorcycle south on Rogers Lane when a northbound Jeep Liberty driven by Brian Bardy, 37, of Greenwood, Indiana, began making a left turn.
When the motorcycle and car collided, Landrum was thrown from his bike. He died at the scene.
Police say Landrum was wearing a helmet.
Family members tell various media outlets that Landrum was supposed to get married later Saturday evening. He was riding home to get ready with his groomsmen when the crash happened.
Landrum was also the father of a two-year-old girl.
The crash remains under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
