(Moores Hill, Ind.) - Indiana State Police want your help in catching those responsible for stealing road signs in Ripley County.
A total of 24 signs were stolen sometime during the weekend of August 14 and 15, mainly at the intersection of State Road 229 and State Road 48.
According to troopers, included were 17 signs belonging to the Indiana Department of Transportation and included speed limit signs, arrow signs, detour signs, signs indicating upcoming county road intersections, and a green “Batesville” sign. Also stolen were two county road signs belonging to the Ripley County Highway Department, and five construction signs consisting of “road closed” signs, detour, etc. Those signs are the property of Road Safe Traffic Systems.
