(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – This Friday is the deadline to file if you plan on running for a school board position in a number of southeast Indiana school districts.
The paperwork must be turned into your county clerk’s office by noon Aug. 20.
“The petitions must have signatures of 10 registered voters from the school corporation to be certified by the clerk to place their name on the ballot. Petition forms are available in the Clerk of Courts office in the Courthouse,” says Dearborn County Clerk of Courts Phil Weaver.
Local districts having school board elections in November include Lawrenceburg, Sunman-Dearborn, South Ripley, and Batesville.
