(Green Township, Oh.) – Two women were killed after one of their cars went left-of-center and hit the other in Hamilton County’s Green Township Monday evening.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office  reports that Cynthia Merck, 56, of Cleves, was driving her 2006 Hyundai Tucson on Taylor Road around 6:37 when she crossed the center line, striking a 2006 Nissan Murano driven by Bonita Schngen, 48, of Cincinnati.

Both Merck and Schngen died at the scene.

Two male juveniles riding in Schngen’s car were injured. They were each taken by ambulance to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.

Deputies say all the people involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
